This photo of Hains Point was taken on a calm fall morning last year. I was up early and had some time to kill before work, so I decided to grab my camera and go up on the roof. This is not part of any routine for me, so I'm not sure where that urge came from but I followed it.
When I stepped out on the landing, I was amazed at how still the channel was. Then the sun began to rise above the trees, and the scene became almost magical. This was the best of a handful of shots I took that morning. I am still amazed by the richness of the colors and the mirror-like reflection of the sky in the water. It's one of my favorite, and my best selling canvas wrap. I hope you like it as much as I do. Rod Hill
