Of all the Washington monuments, I find the Thomas Jefferson Memorial the most captivating. Both its shape and location command attention, while it’s unique design is both simple and complex, much like the man it pays tribute to. While I’ve taken photos of this many times, the stillness of the tidal basin caught my eye as I drove by that night.
